Inter Milan sees Cesc Fàbregas as the leading candidate to become the team's new head coach, according to Sky Sport. The Spaniard, currently managing Como, has already held initial talks with representatives of the Nerazzurri to discuss a potential collaboration.
Fàbregas had previously turned down offers from Roma and Bayer, having given his word to Como, but Inter’s interest could prompt a change of plans. According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, the 37-year-old coach is seriously considering the move, though he has not yet made a final decision. The parties have agreed to continue their dialogue in the near future.
Fàbregas is currently in London, where Como representative Mirwan Suwarso is also present. A personal meeting, scheduled to take place within hours, could prove decisive in determining the coach's future.
If talks with Fàbregas fail to result in an agreement, Inter may turn their attention to Roberto De Zerbi, who recently took over at Marseille, or consider Cristian Chivu, currently working with Parma.
As a reminder, Simone Inzaghi has left Inter and is set to take charge of Saudi club Al Hilal.
