Armenian national team basketball player Chris Jones has officially left the Spanish club Valencia. The club exercised a contract option to terminate the deal early, which was originally set to last one more season.
The 32-year-old point guard spent three years with Valencia and became one of the key players of the team. In the last ACB League season, Jones played in 32 games, averaging 10.8 points and 5.1 assists per game. In the EuroCup, he appeared in 15 games with averages of 10.6 points and 4.5 assists.
According to several sources, the naturalized Armenian’s next destination could be Hapoel Tel Aviv. Negotiations between the parties are reportedly in an active phase.
Jones, born in the United States, received Armenian citizenship and helped the Armenian national team defeat Albania in a World Cup pre-qualifier match in February 2025. He was the top scorer in that game with 34 points. Overall, in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, Jones played four games, averaging 27 points per game.

Valencia thanked Chris Jones for his professionalism and contribution to the team, wishing him success in the future.
