FC Krasnodar lost 1-2 to Samara's Krylia Sovetov in the Russian Cup match. Armenia national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan came on as a substitute in the 55th minute and significantly improved the Bulls' game. He created several dangerous chances for his teammates and could have scored himself from a free kick, but was unable to save the team from defeat.
In this match, Gaëtan Perrin, last season’s top assist provider in France’s Ligue 1, made his debut for Krasnodar. The Frenchman came on in the 73rd minute but also failed to change the outcome of the match.
It is worth noting that in another match of the day, Tenton Yenne, who previously played three seasons for Ararat-Armenia, scored his first goal for Kaliningrad’s Baltika. However, his team also lost 1-2 against Akron.
