Krasnodar signs former Auxerre captain — Brazilian defender Jubal

FC Krasnodar has officially announced the signing of Brazilian central defender Jubal. The 31-year-old joins the club as a free agent. The two-year contract will come into effect on June 1.
Over the past five years, Jubal played for French side Auxerre, where he became team captain and made 180 appearances, scoring 20 goals. At Krasnodar, he will strengthen the defense of the reigning Russian champions.
"We've got a new player, Bulls! Brazilian Jubal is joining FC Krasnodar! The central defender will become part of our club as a free agent. His two-year contract takes effect on June 1," reads the club’s official statement.
Jubal also shared his thoughts on joining the team:
"I'm very happy to sign with Krasnodar. This is a great club with excellent infrastructure. I'm confident we'll achieve a lot together. I'm ready to give my all so the team can continue reaching its goals."
Earlier, the club announced that three players would be leaving the team.
