Milan Gharibian’s Clermont Foot U19 have reached the final of the French U19 championship for the first time in the club’s history.
In the semifinal, Clermont claimed an impressive 4-2 victory over Monaco U19 and secured a historic place in the decisive match of the tournament. This achievement is an important milestone for the club’s academy, which is enjoying one of the best seasons in its history.
Gharibian himself missed the semifinal due to suspension, but the Armenian midfielder will be available to help his team in the final. The decisive match will take place on June 13, with Clermont set to face PSG U19.
The final is expected to be a very difficult challenge, as the Parisian side are the reigning champions and have won the last two editions of the French U19 championship. For Clermont Foot, this will be a chance not only to win their first title at this level, but also to end PSG’s successful run.
Milan Gharibian has had a strong season with Clermont U19. The Armenian midfielder has recorded 8 goals and 2 assists in 25 matches this season. Earlier, the club also announced that he had signed a trainee professional contract, marking an important step in the young footballer’s career development.
