Brazilian defender Klaidher Macedo has left Armenian club Alashkert following the expiration of his contract.
During his two seasons in Armenia, Macedo played for Van and then Alashkert, effectively representing the same team throughout that period. He established himself as one of the best defenders in the Armenian championship and was the team leader in minutes played in both seasons.
Remarkably, over two years Klaidher missed only two matches, both due to suspensions, and was never substituted during a game.
His departure is a serious loss for Alashkert, especially ahead of the club’s Conference League campaign, where the team will start from the first qualifying round. Replacing such a consistent and experienced player will be a difficult task for the club.
