Kilikia advances to the next round of the UEFA Regions’ Cup

Armenian amateur team Kilikia has successfully passed the preliminary round of the UEFA Regions’ Cup.

The tournament was held in Yerevan from June 16 to 20. Kilikia won both of its matches and finished first in its group. This result became the best achievement in the history of Armenian football at amateur level.

In the first round, Kilikia earned a convincing 5-0 victory over Lithuanian side Tera. In the second match, the Armenian team defeated Estonia’s Hiiumaa 2-0.

Thanks to these results, Kilikia advanced to the intermediate round of the UEFA Regions’ Cup.

At the next stage, the Armenian team will compete in Group 1. Kilikia will face amateur teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales and North Macedonia.

The intermediate round matches will take place from September 2 to 8 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
