During the match, Karlen gave an interview to a TV channel and said he was fully ready to come onto the pitch if the coaching staff gave him the opportunity.
— I’m ready to go onto the pitch at any moment if the coach asks me. My preferred roles are the No. 6 and No. 8 positions: defensive midfielder and box-to-box midfielder, — the player said.
Hovhannisyan also spoke positively about the performance of his new team.
— Akron are a good team. They are playing well today, — the midfielder added.
Akron officially announced Hovhannisyan’s transfer from Yerevan’s Pyunik on the morning of September 1. The player signed a five-year contract with the Russian club.
