The midfielder of the Armenian national team and captain of "Krasnodar," Eduard Spertsyan, sustained an injury during the 19th round of the Russian Premier League match against "Krylia Sovetov."
Some details about the injury are known.
"Krasnodar" coach Arthur Olenin commented on the situation during a press conference:
"At the moment, it is difficult to determine the severity of the injury. We need to conduct an examination and make a conclusion. There was a blow, the calf muscle was damaged, there was a bruise, and then a spasm."
Spertsyan himself, when asked about his condition after the match, said:
"We'll see tomorrow, I don't know yet."
The player was injured in the 71st minute of the match. Spertsyan was able to leave the field on his own, but later he was carried off on a stretcher. After the game, he left the stadium on his own feet but was noticeably limping. At the moment, the severity of the injury remains unclear.
Spertsyan will undergo a medical examination, after which it will become clear how serious his injury is and how much time he will need to recover. There is a possibility that Spertsyan will miss the upcoming matches of the Armenian national team, including the match against Georgia.
