Inter thrash Monza 4-1 in Serie A opener

Inter Milan began the new Serie A season with a convincing victory over Monza. The match ended 4-1 in favor of the reigning Italian champions.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Piotr Zieliński, Sebastiano Esposito and Yann Bisseck were all on target for the Nerazzurri. Gustavo Varela scored Monza’s only goal.
Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan missed the match due to a suspension he received at the end of last season. Zieliński started in his position and also managed to get on the scoresheet.
Inter therefore made a confident start to the new Serie A campaign, picking up their first three points of the season.
