Khamzat Chimaev stops Gilbert Burns at RAF 13

Khamzat Chimaev claimed his third victory in the Real American Freestyle (RAF) wrestling league. At RAF 13 in Miami, he scored an early victory over his former UFC opponent Gilbert Burns.

The match ended with Chimaev leading 15-4. Due to his large points advantage, the bout was stopped early.

This was the second meeting between Chimaev and Burns, although this time in a different sport. In April 2022, they faced each other in the UFC, where the fight went the full distance. Chimaev won that bout by unanimous decision.

This time, the Chechen-born fighter representing Sweden proved stronger than Burns on the wrestling mat as well.

For Khamzat Chimaev, this was his third appearance in RAF and his third early victory. He had previously defeated Dillon Danis and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in freestyle wrestling matches.

Chimaev therefore maintains a perfect record in RAF with three wins in three matches, all of them coming before the full distance.
