Khachanov advances to the second round of Australian Open 2025, Avanesyan stumbles

Karen Khachanov (ATP 19) defeated Adrian Mannarino (ATP 73) in straight sets and advanced to the second round of the Australian Open.

In the second round, Khachanov will face Gabriel Diallo (ATP 86).

Elina Avanesyan (WTA 41), unfortunately, lost to Yulia Putintseva (WTA 23) in three sets and was eliminated from the tournament.
