Armenia national team forward Grant-Leon Ranos has been included in the list of players Borussia Mönchengladbach is considering letting go during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to BILD.
The club’s transfer list reportedly includes the following players:
Jonas Omlin,
Joe Scally,
Luca Netz,
Marvin Friedrich,
Grant-Leon Ranos.
The 22-year-old striker has made 5 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring one goal. However, he was not included in the squad for the last three matches, including the DFB-Pokal game, and instead featured once for Borussia’s reserve team.
At the start of the season, amid multiple injuries in the attacking line, Ranos was considered an option on the left wing and regularly received playing time. But following the appointment of new head coach Eugen Polanski and the team’s tactical switch to a 5-3-2 formation, the Armenian forward lost his place in the starting lineup.
Ranos’ situation is expected to become one of the talking points of the winter transfer period, as the player may look for opportunities to gain more playing time — possibly through a loan move.
