Armenia national team striker Grant-Leon Ranos is concluding his loan spell at 2. Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern and will return to Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, according to German outlet BILD, the 21-year-old forward will be loaned out again — this time to a club that can guarantee him consistent playing time.
Ranos spent the second half of the season at Kaiserslautern, but had limited opportunities — just 5 matches, 55 minutes on the pitch, and no goal contributions. Overall, he played in 11 official matches (412 minutes) this season, most of which were with Borussia Mönchengladbach's second team in the Regionalliga, Germany’s fourth division.
It was there that Ranos made his only goal contributions of the season — 2 goals and 3 assists in 4 matches (339 minutes). He also appeared for 18 minutes in the Bundesliga, coming off the bench for the first team.
The next step in the Armenian forward’s career is expected to be a loan to a club where he can gain regular experience at senior level.
To recall, Ranos joined Borussia Mönchengladbach after several prolific seasons with Bayern Munich’s reserve team, as well as successful appearances with the Armenian national team.
