Gor Matinyan to continue career at Sardarapat

Armenia national team goalkeeper Gor Matinyan will continue his career at Sardarapat, according to insider Suren Meliksetyan.

According to the report, the goalkeeper had options to continue his career abroad. Clubs from Romania and Slovenia were interested in Matinyan, as well as Moldovan side Sheriff.

However, those teams offered him the role of second goalkeeper. As a result, Matinyan chose Sardarapat, where he expects to receive regular playing time.

Matinyan’s last club was Urartu. In the second part of last season, he received little playing time and later left the team.

Sardarapat won the Armenian First League last season and will play in Armenia’s top division for the first time in the club’s history.
