Serobyan scores, but Armenia trail Montenegro at half-time (VIDEO)

Armenia trail Montenegro 2–1 at half-time in their UEFA Nations League Matchday 2 fixture. Artur Serobyan scored his second goal for the national team, but the visitors regained the lead before the break.

Montenegro opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Erik Piloyan turned the ball into his own net with his back during an incident in the penalty area. Armenia responded in the 34th minute: Serobyan equalised from an assist by goalkeeper Ognjen Čančarević. It was Artur’s second goal in 30 appearances for Armenia.

The scores were level only briefly. In the 38th minute, Nikola Krstović restored Montenegro’s lead with a long-range shot.

The first half featured plenty of challenges, fouls and misplaced passes. Armenia’s defence struggled at times to keep up with the visitors, while Montenegro became more dangerous on the counterattack as the game progressed. The visitors also made mistakes near their own goal. The match remains open going into the second half, with Montenegro leading 2–1.
