23-year-old Armenian midfielder Gevorg Diarbián had a standout performance for New England Revolution II in a match against Toronto II in the American MLS Next Pro league (the second-tier league in the U.S.).
The teams drew 3–3 in regular time, after which the winner was decided in a penalty shootout, as is customary in MLS Next Pro. Diarbián’s team, New England Revolution II, was more successful in the shootout and continues to lead the league.
Gevorg was directly involved in two of his team’s three goals: first, he provided an assist for the opening goal, then he scored the second himself, showcasing technical skill and confidence. These were Diarbián’s first goal contributions of the current season.
