Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored for Inter Milan in a friendly match against Lumezzane.
The game took place on the morning of October 3 at Inter’s training centre in Appiano Gentile and ended in a 2-0 victory for Cristian Chivu’s side. The match was played in an unusual format of two 35-minute halves.
Mkhitaryan opened the scoring in the 14th minute, putting Inter ahead. Joseph Agbonifo added the second goal for the Nerazzurri in the 62nd minute.
The Armenian midfielder played the entire match. Marcus Thuram, Luis Henrique, Kevin Jones, Benjamin Pavard, Yann Bisseck, Federico Dimarco and Carlos Augusto also remained on the pitch for the full game.
Ivan Provedel, Bovo and Djed Spence were also named in Inter’s starting lineup. During the match, the coaching staff made several substitutions, giving playing time to Di Gennaro, Kaczmarski and Agbonifo.
As a result, Inter defeated Lumezzane 2-0, with Mkhitaryan scoring the opening goal of the friendly.
