Inter Milan secured a 3-1 comeback victory over Bologna in Matchday 7 of the 2026/27 Italian Serie A season. Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan came off the bench in the closing stages and delivered an impressive pre-assist, helping the Nerazzurri seal the win.
Mkhitaryan entered the pitch in the 79th minute, replacing Marcus Thuram with Inter leading 2-1. Just a few minutes later, the 37-year-old Armenian played an important role in his team's third goal.
In the 83rd minute, Mkhitaryan received the ball from Hakan Çalhanoğlu and delivered a brilliant through ball into space for Carlos Augusto. The Brazilian sent a low cross across the face of goal, and Ange-Yoan Bonny finished the move to make it 3-1.
The match had started poorly for Cristian Chivu's side. Tommaso Pobega gave Bologna the lead in the 10th minute, but Marcus Thuram equalized before halftime. Carlos Augusto then put Inter ahead in the second half.
Chivu's substitutions proved decisive. Both Carlos Augusto and Bonny scored after coming off the bench, while Mkhitaryan added creativity to Inter's attacking play.
With this victory, Inter moved to 19 points after seven Serie A matches, continuing their impressive start to the Italian league campaign.
