Former Armenian national team forward Gegam Kadimyan made a surprising return to football after a two-year hiatus. The 32-year-old striker played the second half of the 2024/25 season for Czech club Znojmo, which competes in the country’s third division.
Kadimyan appeared in 10 matches for his new team, scoring one goal and providing one assist. However, his efforts were not enough to help Znojmo avoid disappointment — the club finished the season at the bottom of the standings.
Kadimyan is known for his performances in the Ukrainian and Belarusian leagues, as well as his appearances for the Armenian national team, where he earned 13 caps and scored 2 goals. His last club before the break was Armenian side Van, which he left in 2023.The footballer struggled with numerous injuries for a long time, but is now ready to play again.
