Garik Karapetyan — 2026 European Champion in the 110 kg Category

Armenian weightlifter Garik Karapetyan became the 2026 European Champion in the men’s 110 kg weight category.
At just 22 years old, Karapetyan has already claimed his third European title, confirming his status as one of the leaders in world heavyweight weightlifting.
In the snatch, Garik placed third with a result of 189 kg. In the clean and jerk, he won a small gold medal by lifting 226 kg. With a total of 415 kg, he secured first place overall.
Another Armenian representative, Simon Martirosyan, finished without medals:
- 4th place in snatch (183 kg)
- 6th place in clean and jerk (215 kg)
- 6th place overall (398 kg)
