Players of the Armenian club "Sardarapat," Vigen Sargsyan and Janik Davtyan, trained at the French club Lens and participated in international tournaments as part of the youth teams of the Lens academy.
The Armenian players competed in the prestigious Mondial Football Montaigu 2025 and Sélection Saint Joseph/Pays du Gier tournaments, representing Lens among Europe's strongest academies. The tournaments were held in mid-April.
Goalkeeper Vigen Sargsyan played at the Mondial Football Montaigu 2025 tournament, where the Lens youth team finished second after losing to Strasbourg. Vigen Sargsyan was listed on the team’s roster under number 16.
Meanwhile, midfielder Janik Davtyan was part of the Lens team at the Saint Joseph tournament.
According to Sardarapat’s official account, the collaboration with Lens opens up new prospects for young Armenian footballers. The club continues to build bridges between Armenia and European football, creating more and more opportunities for the development of talented players.
