Yerevan’s Ararat Football Club and Belgian side Gent have reached an agreement on the transfer of 19-year-old Ivorian forward Bai Christ Hilarion Gour. The player is completing his tenure with Ararat and moving to Belgium.
Gour expressed gratitude to Ararat for its role in his development:
"I want to thank Ararat for everything this club has given me, from professional growth to mentality. I am also grateful to everyone who worked with the team, including the management, coaching staff, and employees. I truly appreciate everything," said the player.
Ararat’s executive director, Tigran Karabakhcyan, highlighted the significance of this transfer:
"Although Christ Gour joined us not long ago, he has had a significant impact on the team. It is not easy for us to part ways with him, but such transfers offer young talents the chance to develop at a higher level. Ararat places great emphasis on working with promising players, and this transfer confirms our strategy. We have already sent players to clubs in Slovenia, Israel, and Belgium, and this deal with Gent is another achievement. While Gour’s departure is a loss for us, this transfer will benefit both the player and our club in the long run."
In the 2024/25 season, Christ Gour played 14 matches for Ararat in the Fastex Premier League, scoring six goals and providing one assist. The forward joined the Armenian team at the start of the season but has already earned the opportunity to move up. Ararat will receive a transfer fee for the deal, though the exact amount has not yet been disclosed.
