Finalists of the First Day of the U17 World Championships in Greco-Roman Wrestling

On July 28, the Cadet (U17) World Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling kicked off in Athens. On the first day of the tournament, the finalists in five weight categories were determined: 48, 55, 65, 80, and 110 kg.

Representing Armenia, Janes Nazaryan (65 kg) advanced to the final, where he will compete for the gold medal against Georgia’s Erekle Tavberidze.

The finals will feature two representatives each from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia, as well as one wrestler each from Armenia, India, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan.
