The FIFA Disciplinary Committee temporarily banned Yerevan-based FC Noah from registering new players at both national and international levels. The reason was a violation committed by the club's previous owners.
It concerns the non-payment of training compensation to Zenit Saint Petersburg for footballer Alen Poghosyan. Although the dispute between the clubs was resolved several years ago, in order to close the case, Noah had to undergo a compliance procedure and pay a fine of 5,000 Swiss francs.
According to Sportaran.com, the Armenian champions have already fulfilled all the necessary conditions, including payment of the fine. The official lifting of the sanctions is expected soon. Thus, the transfer ban will not affect Noah’s plans to strengthen the squad during the summer transfer window.
It should be noted that as the champions of Armenia, Noah will participate in the first qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, with the draw scheduled for June 17.
