A solemn ceremony took place at the outdoor pool area of the Avan Football Academy to honor the Armenian national team players who stood out during the 2024/25 club season. The event was dedicated to players who won league titles or domestic cups with their clubs. The athletes received commemorative awards from the president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Armen Melikbekyan.

Family members and coaches of the footballers also attended the ceremony. After the official part, the players spoke with media representatives, reports a FastNews correspondent.

The FFA president awarded Armenian champions Artak Dashyan, Ohanes Hambardzumyan, Sergey Muradyan, and Gor Manvelyan; Russian champion Eduard Spertsyan; Moldovan Cup winner Artur Serobyan; and Polish Cup winner Vahan Bichakhchyan.

It’s worth noting that Vahan Bichakhchyan and Artak Dashyan were not called up to the national team for the upcoming matches due to injuries but were present at the ceremony.

Gor Manvelyan

Gor Manvelyan, who became Armenian champion and national cup winner with FC Noah, noted:
"It was a tough season, but we managed to end it on a high note. With Noah, we won both the league and the cup. Now our new goal is to reach the Champions League group stage. If that doesn't work out, we'll aim to perform well in the Europa League or the Conference League."

Artur Serobyan, who won the Moldovan Cup with Sheriff, shared:
"It felt great to win the cup, though it’s a pity we didn’t win the league. Overall, the football level in Moldova and Armenia is quite similar."

Vahan Bichakhchyan, who ended the season with the Polish Cup in Legia, spoke about the difficulties:
"I spent the first half of the season with Pogoń and then transferred to Legia. Unfortunately, due to a recurring injury, I had less playing time. I’ve already been undergoing treatment for three weeks — I'm halfway through recovery. I hope next season will be more successful."

As a reminder, Armenia’s national team will play two away friendlies in June: on June 6 against Kosovo and on June 9 against Montenegro. Both matches will be broadcast on Fast Sport.
