Eduard Spertsyan spoke about a possible transfer to Porto and Leeds

Armenia national team and Russian club Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan has been awarded by the Football Federation of Armenia for his achievements in the 2024/25 club season. The award ceremony took place at the outdoor pool area of the “Avan” Football Academy and was dedicated to national team players who achieved success at club level.

Spertsyan became the Russian champion with Krasnodar and stated that winning the national title fulfilled a long-standing dream:

"The season was quite tough. We worked hard for this title, and I thank God that we were able to win it. Thank you all for your congratulations."

The player also commented on the situation regarding a potential move to a European club:

"There are no concrete offers yet, but I don’t hide that I want to take the next step in my career. In winter, there were reports about interest from Leeds, and I read about Porto in the media. I don’t have preferences regarding leagues — the main thing is that it’s a serious project."

Spertsyan emphasized that his current focus is on preparing for Armenia’s upcoming matches:

"This is my first training camp under the new head coach. Everything is going well. It’s very important to perform well in the upcoming friendlies and show quality football."

In June, Armenia will play two away friendlies — against Kosovo (June 6) and Montenegro (June 9). Both matches will be broadcast live on the "Fast Sport" TV channel.
