Anthony Sarkesian named MVP of FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C

Armenia national team leader Anthony Sarkesian was named the Most Valuable Player of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C.
Sarkesian helped Armenia win the tournament without suffering a single defeat. The power forward produced impressive numbers throughout the competition, averaging 21 points, 17.8 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Anthony delivered one of his best performances in the semifinal against Moldova, recording a double-double with 26 points and 26 rebounds. In the final, Armenia defeated Malta 97–68, with Sarkesian contributing 18 points and 21 rebounds.
The victory saw Armenia become FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C champions for the first time since 2017 and earn promotion to Division B for the next edition of the tournament.
Sarkesian was joined in the All-Star Five by his Armenia teammate Ethan Leonardo Kazanjian. Kosovo’s Orik Istrefi and Malta players Zak Said Hollier and Bo Samuel Kisvarda were also selected among the tournament’s five best players.
Anthony Sarkesian is a 196-centimeter power forward who studies and plays for Chaminade College Preparatory in Los Angeles.
