Starting from February 9, the WTA Doha tennis tournament will take place in Qatar, with a prize fund exceeding 3 million dollars. The world’s 48th-ranked player, representing Armenia, Elina Avanesyan, will participate in this tournament.
In the round of 1/32 finals, Avanesyan will face the world’s 38th-ranked player from China, Xinyu Wang.
Wang and Avanesyan met three times in 2023, and the Chinese player won all of those matches.
