Elina Avanesyan reaches the final of the ITF W100 tournament in Zagreb

Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan has reached the final of the ITF W100 tournament in Zagreb. The 23-year-old athlete, currently ranked 281st in the WTA rankings, has claimed four victories during the tournament.
Avanesyan’s highest-ranked opponent was Serbia’s Mia Ristic, who is ranked 268th in the world. In the quarterfinals, the Armenian tennis player defeated her in straight sets — 6-4, 6-4.
In the decisive match of the tournament, Avanesyan will face Sweden’s Kajsa Rinaldo Persson. Her opponent is ranked 240th in the WTA rankings. The ITF W100 tournament in Zagreb is being held from June 8 to 14 on clay courts. The prize fund of the tournament is $100,000.
As a reminder, Elina Avanesyan will soon make her debut for the Armenian national team in the Billie Jean King Cup.
