Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan continues to improve her position in the world rankings. In the updated WTA list, the 22-year-old athlete has climbed to 36th place, marking the best result for Armenia in women's tennis history.
Avanesyan has a total of 1,435 ranking points, allowing her to move up three more spots. This progress has been made possible thanks to her consistent performances in tournaments, where she demonstrates confident play against the strongest opponents.
At the top of women's tennis remains Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (9,606 points), while the top five also include Iga Swiatek (Poland, 7,375), Coco Gauff (USA, 6,063), Jessica Pegula (USA, 5,361), and Madison Keys (USA, 5,004).
In the ATP rankings, Jannik Sinner (Italy, 11,330) continues to dominate, followed by Alexander Zverev (Germany, 7,945), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 6,910), Taylor Fritz (USA, 4,900), and Serbian Novak Djokovic (3,860), who has climbed to fifth place this week. Meanwhile, Karen Khachanov is ranked 23rd in the ATP rankings.
