Eduard Spertsyan scores as Al-Ahli thrash Al-Riyadh 5-0

Armenia international Eduard Spertsyan found the net in Al-Ahli's emphatic 5-0 victory over Al-Riyadh in Matchday 5 of the Saudi Pro League.
After suffering two consecutive league defeats, Al-Ahli desperately needed a positive result and responded with a dominant performance. Ivan Toney opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 16th minute before Spertsyan doubled the lead with a superb first-time volley in the 43rd minute. Francisco Trincão added a third just before halftime.
Toney completed his brace with another penalty in the 61st minute, while Naif Masoud sealed the 5-0 win with a goal in the 87th minute.
The victory was especially important for Al-Ahli, who had parted ways with sporting director Rui Pedro before the match and were looking to end a difficult spell.
For Spertsyan, it was his second Saudi Pro League goal and third goal in all competitions this season. He has also registered three assists in seven appearances across all tournaments.
