Eduard Spertsyan named in Sofascore’s Nations League Team of the Round

Armenia captain Eduard Spertsyan has been named in Sofascore’s Team of the Round for Matchday 2 of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League.

The midfielder received a rating of 8.6 for his performance against Montenegro, one of the highest marks among players in his position. Spertsyan also scored a spectacular goal, finding the net with a strike from outside the penalty area.

The Armenia captain was one of the most active players on the pitch. He registered 12 shots, made three key passes and created one big chance for his teammates.

Lamine Yamal, João Félix, Anthony Gordon, Diogo Costa and Nico Elvedi were among the other players included in the Team of the Round.

It is the second consecutive Nations League matchday in which an Armenia player has been selected by Sofascore. After Matchday 1, defender Georgiy Harutyunyan was named in the team following his goal in Armenia’s 2-0 victory over Latvia.
