Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan commented on his future after a 3-0 victory over Dynamo Moscow in the 30th round of the Russian Premier League. The southern club earned a confident win and became Russian champions for the first time in their history.
“We’ll see if I play again for Krasnodar. It’s no secret that I want to try myself in Europe. I kept my promise — now it’s time for Europe,” Spertsyan said after the match.
In the decisive game of the season, the Armenian-Russian midfielder scored a goal and provided an assist, becoming one of the main heroes of the match. His contribution to the Bulls’ title-winning campaign is hard to overstate — even before the season started, Spertsyan turned down a transfer to help his home club win the long-awaited title.
Now that the goal has been achieved, a move to Europe seems like the logical next step. One of the clubs previously linked with interest was English side Leeds United, who have just returned to the Premier League.
Spertsyan’s future is likely to be decided during the upcoming transfer window.
