Eduard Spertsyan nominated for the “Football Gentleman 2025” award

Eduard Spertsyan, midfielder of the Armenian national team and captain of FC Krasnodar, has been included in the list of nominees for the prestigious “Football Gentleman 2025” award, traditionally organized by Komsomolskaya Pravda.

This award has been presented since 1994 and is considered one of the most respected in Russian football. The laureates are players who not only shine on the pitch but also embody the true values of sport: respect for opponents, teammates, fans, and journalists. The symbol of the award is a specially tailored black tuxedo, which the winner wears each year.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the award, and among the contenders is Spertsyan, who became one of the key architects of Krasnodar’s first-ever RPL championship. The Armenian footballer not only showed leadership qualities on the field but also became a true symbol of a new era for the club.

Spertsyan’s competitors include strong players from the country’s top clubs: Stanislav Agkatsev, Andrey Mostovoy, Igor Diveev, Ivan Oblyakov, Ivan Sergeev, Alexander Maksimenko, Ronaldo, Dmitry Vorobyov, Georgi Shelia, Gamid Agalarov, Soltmurad Bakaev, Vyacheslav Grulyov, and Yuri Dyupin.

The voting takes place in two stages: first, fans will determine the top three, and then an expert jury of football legends and sports journalists will choose the winner.
