Edgar Sevikyan included in Ferencvaros squad for Europa League matches against Vojvodina

Armenia international Edgar Sevikyan has been included in Hungarian club Ferencvaros’ squad for the first qualifying round of the 2026/27 UEFA Europa League.

In the first round, Ferencvaros will face Serbian side Vojvodina. The first leg will be played away on July 9 and will kick off at 20:00. The return match will take place on July 16 at the Groupama Arena in Budapest, with kick-off scheduled for 20:15.

Ahead of the tie, Ferencvaros head coach Balazs Borbely and his staff submitted to UEFA the list of players who will be available for the matches against Vojvodina. Edgar Sevikyan was included among the midfielders.

For the 23-year-old player, this is an important moment after returning to the Hungarian club. Sevikyan spent the second half of last season on loan at Russian club Akron. After the end of the loan spell, he returned to Ferencvaros, and there had been a possibility that he could leave on loan again.

However, at the moment Sevikyan remains part of the Ferencvaros squad and could play in the Europa League qualifiers.

It should be noted that Ferencvaros’ opponent will be Vojvodina, where former Noah forward Nardin Mulahusejnovic currently plays.

Ferencvaros earned the right to start in the Europa League after winning the Hungarian Cup. Last season, the club lifted the national cup for the 25th time in its history. Despite being seeded, the Hungarian side will begin its European campaign already from the first qualifying round.
