After officially being appointed as the head coach of the Armenian national team, John van 't Schip gave his first interview to the press service of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA). The 61-year-old Dutch specialist expressed his joy and readiness to start working with the national team.
"I am John van 't Schip, the new head coach of the Armenian national team. I am very happy to be here and look forward to working with the team and the federation staff. I will try to adapt in Armenia as quickly as possible. Thank you for the very warm welcome. See you soon," said van 't Schip.
The Football Federation of Armenia announced the appointment of the experienced coach, signing a 1+1 contract with him. FFA President Armen Melikbekyan introduced the specialist to the federation’s Executive Committee, which unanimously approved his candidacy.
Van 't Schip is expected to officially assume his duties on March 1, 2025.
