In the third round of the MLS Next Pro, New England Revolution II secured a confident 4-0 victory over Toronto II. The main hero of the match was 20-year-old goalkeeper of Armenian descent, Donovan Parisian, who was selected 18th overall in the MLS draft.
In his debut match, the 193 cm tall goalkeeper made five saves and kept a clean sheet.
Also participating in the game was 23-year-old winger Gevork Diarbian, who spent 76 minutes on the field and contributed to the build-up of his team's second goal. This was Diarbyan's third match of the current season, and he has started in all of them. While the Armenian midfielder has yet to register a goal or an assist, his activity on the field has had a noticeable impact on the team’s play.
It’s worth noting that this is Diarbian’s second season in MLS Next Pro. Last year, he played 28 matches, scored two goals, and provided three assists.
