David Mgoyan Signs Contract With Georgian MMA Promotion RKENA

Armenian mixed martial arts fighter David Mgoyan (9-1) has signed a contract with Georgian promotion RKENA.
The 22-year-old athlete fought his most recent bout in MVP MMA, a promotion founded by Jake Paul. Mgoyan faced former UFC fighter Albert Morales. David earned a victory by judges’ decision.
Mgoyan previously attempted to earn a place in the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series, but suffered a defeat and did not receive a contract with the world’s leading MMA promotion.
Mgoyan is currently continuing his training alongside one of the UFC’s top lightweight contenders, Arman Tsarukyan.
The date of David Mgoyan’s debut fight in RKENA, as well as the name of his opponent, will be announced in the near future.The Georgian League began holding tournaments in 2025. Three major tournaments have been held in Tbilisi to date, the most recent in May 2026.
