David Chaloyan secures at least bronze at the European Cup Grand Prix in Czechia

Armenian boxer David Chaloyan (+90 kg) has guaranteed himself at least a bronze medal at the European Cup Grand Prix, which is taking place in Czechia.
The World Championships bronze medalist confidently reached the semifinals of the tournament. In the quarterfinal bout, Chaloyan defeated Germany’s Delil Yazgan.
The Armenian boxer had a clear advantage in all rounds and won by unanimous decision. Thanks to this victory, Chaloyan has secured a place on the podium and will continue his fight for a spot in the final.
In the semifinals, David Chaloyan will face England’s Achushin Clinton. In the quarterfinals, the British boxer defeated Paris Olympic medalist Aboudou Jamili.
Another Armenian representative, Ararat Harutyunyan, who competes in the 70 kg weight category, ended his run at the quarterfinal stage. He lost to Austria’s Arsen Chabyan.
