Daniil Sargsyan reaches the quarterfinals of ITF M15 Zahra in Kuwait

Armenian tennis player Daniil Sargsyan (ATP No. 1066) continues his strong run at the ITF M15 Zahra tournament in Kuwait, advancing to the quarterfinals of the competition.

The 19-year-old athlete confidently passed the first two rounds. In his opening match, he defeated Turkey’s Mert Türker 6–1, 6–3. In the second round, Sargsyan proved stronger than Monaco’s Rocco Piatti, winning 6–3, 7–5.

For a place in the semifinals, the Armenian tennis player will face Frenchman Konstantin Kuzmin, who is ranked No. 599 in the ATP rankings.

Interestingly, in doubles Sargsyan is partnering with the same Rocco Piatti whom he defeated in singles. Their duo has already reached the semifinals of the tournament.

It is worth noting that since January 2026 Sargsyan has been representing Armenia on the international stage. The tennis player was born in Russia and currently lives and trains in Spain.
