Six Armenian wrestlers to compete at Poland Open 2026 in Warsaw

The international Poland Open 2026 wrestling tournament will take place in Warsaw from August 26 to 30. Armenia will be represented by six athletes in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition.
Armenia’s representatives:
- 60 kg — Hrachya Poghosyan
- 60 kg — Suren Aghajanyan
- 72 kg — Gaspar Terteryan
- 77 kg — Malkhas Amoyan
- 82 kg — Samvel Grigoryan
- 87 kg — Gevorg Tadevosyan
A total of 123 Greco-Roman wrestlers have been entered for the tournament. Athletes from Armenia, Bulgaria, Chile, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Ukraine and the United States will take part in the competition.
The 72 kg, 77 kg, 82 kg and 87 kg competitions, featuring Gaspar Terteryan, Malkhas Amoyan, Samvel Grigoryan and Gevorg Tadevosyan, will be held on August 26. The qualification rounds and repechage will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
Hrachya Poghosyan and Suren Aghajanyan, who are entered in the 60 kg weight category, will take to the mat on August 27. The qualification rounds and repechage will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the finals starting at 6 p.m.
The Poland Open 2026 tournament will continue through August 30. In addition to Greco-Roman wrestling, the program also includes women’s and men’s freestyle wrestling competitions.
