In Matchday 29 of the Armenian Premier League, Noah and Van played out a thrilling 2-2 draw that postponed Noah’s early title celebrations and ended their impressive winning streak.
The game was full of drama. Van took the lead twice through goals by Karen Nalbandyan and Momo Touré, but Noah responded each time thanks to strikes from Elder Ferreira and Gonzalo Silva. Silva’s equalizer came in the 93rd minute.
The final moments were tense. After the goal, Van’s head coach Vage Gevorgyan and Noah’s forward Gonzalo Gregorio were both sent off. Just before that, Van nearly won it, but Nalbandyan’s shot struck the crossbar.
As a result, Noah’s 19-match winning streak in the league came to an end. Nevertheless, the team remains firmly in first place, holding an 11-point lead over Ararat-Armenia with four matches remaining in the season.
