On October 19, the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships began in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. For the first time in history, this prestigious event is being held in Southeast Asia, bringing together the world’s top gymnasts — Olympic champions and world title holders among them.
Armenia is represented by five athletes:
Artur Davtyan, Vaagn Davtyan, Mamikon Khachatryan, Artur Avetisyan, and Hamlet Manukyan.

The Armenian team includes two reigning European champions: Artur Davtyan, one of the best vaulters in the world, and Hamlet Manukyan, who won European gold on the pommel horse this year.
The Armenian gymnasts compete in Subdivision 4 alongside athletes from the Netherlands, Egypt, New Zealand, the USA, and other countries.
World Championships Schedule (local time):
-
October 19–21 — Qualification rounds
-
October 22 — Men’s all-around final
-
October 23 — Women’s all-around final
-
October 24 — Apparatus finals (Rings, Pommel Horse, Floor — Men; Vault, Uneven Bars — Women)
-

There are no team events this year, so all attention is focused on individual performances. After a long break, Russian athletes are returning to the World Championships.
