On December 12, the second competition day of the European U21 Taekwondo Championships took place in Kosovo. On the second day, medals were contested in four men’s weight categories: 54 kg, 63 kg, 80 kg, and 87 kg.

Italian athletes won two gold medals, while Croatia and Spain claimed one gold each.

Men, 54 kg

  1. Abderrahman Touiar (Italy)

  2. Kaan Eladi (Turkey)

  3. Emir Dulger (Turkey) and Andreas Lepape (France)

Men, 63 kg

  1. Ludovico Jurlapo (Italy)

  2. Hamza Aydogan (Turkey)

  3. Samir Mirzoev (Ukraine) and Alexios Nikolaidis (Greece)

Men, 80 kg

  1. Oskar Kovacic (Croatia)

  2. Andrey Zagorulko (Russia)

  3. Filip Blazevski (North Macedonia) and Alperen Ayaz (Turkey)

Men, 87 kg

  1. Sergio Troitino (Spain)

  2. Fotios Dompas (Greece)

  3. Nahil Mehnana (France) and Vladislav Budin (Russia)

The Armenian national team was represented by David Muradyan (54 kg) and Max Melikyan (63 kg). Both athletes lost their opening bouts and did not reach the medal positions.

Results of the first competition day.

On December 13, medals will be contested in four women’s weight categories: 49 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg, and 73 kg.
