Former MLS forward Alecko Eskandarian and his father Andranik Eskandarian, a former defender of the Iran national team and New York Cosmos, attended the home match of Yerevan’s Urartu FC.
The Eskandarian family has been in Armenia for several days. During their stay, they explored the country’s cultural and historical heritage — including a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Tsitsernakaberd.
On May 28, Alecko and Andranik were present at the final round match of the Armenian Premier League, where Urartu hosted Van. Their presence in the stands attracted attention from fans and was a pleasant surprise for many football lovers in Armenia.
