Brazil and Morocco Reach the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup

Brazil and Morocco secured their places in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the final matches of Group C.

Brazil confidently defeated Scotland 3-0 in the last round and finished top of the group. Vinicius Junior was the main hero of the match, scoring twice. Neymar also made his first appearance at the 2026 World Cup, coming on as a substitute in the second half. Matheus Cunha added another goal for Brazil.

In the Round of 32, Brazil will face the second-placed team from Group F, which includes the Netherlands, Japan and Sweden. The race in that group remains tight, so Brazil’s opponent has not yet been determined.

Morocco also advanced to the play-offs after finishing second in Group C. In the final round, the Moroccan team defeated Haiti 4-2 in one of the most exciting matches of the day.

Haiti twice took the lead and scored their first World Cup goal since 1974, but Morocco found an answer each time. In the second half, the African side took control of the game, while goals from Soufiane Rahimi and Yassine sealed the victory and sent the team into the next round.

Morocco will face the winner of Group F in the Round of 32.

Scotland finished the group stage in third place. The team collected 3 points and still has a chance to reach the play-offs through the ranking of the best third-placed teams. However, a goal difference of −3 leaves the Scots in a difficult position.

Haiti leaves the World Cup without a point, but the match against Morocco became a bright farewell to the tournament for the team.
