Wrestling at the Islamic Games 2025: Results of the First Day in Riyadh

On November 18, the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 kicked off in Riyadh. Medals in five weight categories were contested on the opening day, with Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan finishing as the gold medal leaders.
The wrestling tournament will continue in the capital of Saudi Arabia until November 21, and the first competition day brought many surprises.
Uzbekistan’s Aram Vardanyan was expected to compete in the 77 kg weight class, but he was replaced at the last moment by Abdullo Aliyev, who managed to win a bronze medal.
