During the Armenian Premier League second-round match against Shirak, Pyunik supporters displayed a banner featuring former head coach Yeghishe Melikyan.
Before this match, Melikyan had left the club after four years in charge to take over the Armenian national football team.
The banner, reading “Thank you, coach,” was prepared and displayed by members of the Sector 18 fan club.
In the game against Shirak, the team was managed by assistant coach Roman Monarev. In the near future, Pyunik may be led by Artak Oseyan, who has previously worked at the club and recently served as assistant to Vardan Minasyan at Ararat-Armenia.
