BC “Urartu” Appoints New Head Coach – Luka Filipovčević

Basketball Club “Urartu” is pleased to announce a new chapter in its history – the team will now be led by 31-year-old Serbian coach Luka Filipovčević.

During his career, he has already made his mark in Europe: under his guidance, Luxembourg’s Telstar Hesperange earned promotion to the second national league. In addition, in 2025 Filipovčević joined the coaching staff of the Guinea national team and took part in AfroBasket 2025.

Luka’s energy, modern approach to the game, and international experience will be a strong foundation for the further development of “Urartu.”

Karen Giloyan has returned to “Urartu” and assumed leadership of the basketball club.
